Brian Jackson Jr aka Bdat – B – Smoove born in Sacramento and has over 15 years of experience drumming styles. Brian was a part of his high school marching band and that is where he found his love for drums. Since then, he has played in many different bands that cover different genres of music, hip-hop, brass band music, jazz, gospel music just to name a few. For the last 15 years Brian has been teaching bucket drumming serving those in the Sacramento and Elk Grove Unified School District and he really enjoyed the positive changes students displayed from being in his classes. Over the years Brian started bucket drumming himself in and out of Sacramento such as offering classes in afterschool programs (masters, fathers & families, START, city of sac parks and recreation, Jackie rose foundation and in the bay area in Richmond BACR afterschool). In 2017 he had the opportunity to start his own 2nd thru 5th grade bucket drumming class and his program received the Book Of Dreams Grant ( Sac Bee readers) by Sacramento Bee and was given $20,000 for marching drums supplies for the students that were a part of that program.  As an experienced musician, Brian enjoys teaching and watching students turn into musicians themselves to be a positive light in their schools, homes and communities.
