Hailey Veal is a dancer, choreographer and full-time mental health clinician in Sacramento, CA. She is a natural born and self-taught dancer. Hailey was raised in a culture that taught me to listen to music and allow the beat and lyrics to move through my soul and flow through my body. Her dance career started in the church at the age of 6 and she was a praise dancer before she started formal training which was at the age of 8. She began training and competing with Inspirations and Powerhouse Performing arts studio. Hailey has trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical, and contemporary. At 15 she joined her high school dance team as a captain and trained under former Clippers girl Sherri Rucker. Hailey continued performing and collaborating with dancers in college at UC Davis and in the Sacramento community for various cultural events and musicals. After college, she started teaching and choreographing for Mosaic. Hailey believes in using dance to build our youth’s self-esteem and to utilize dance as an emotional coping skill and avenue for self-expression and advocacy. Dance embodies all
emotions, and she was able to navigate some of her hardest days through this form of art. This is a gift that Hailey want to share with many generations.
